Silver Lining Sunday- Selfcare Special
All you are looking for is right there in front of you. Like seriously.
Hi Champion,
I hope you’re enjoying your weekend.
We spend a lot of time searching.
Searching for a best friend or a lover.
Searching for a high-paying job.
Searching for our purpose.
To find success, happiness, and a better life, we ignore the one that we have. Striving to be lead a better life for yourself is not wrong, but what if you stop looking for a while and be present.
All you are looking for is right there in front of you. Sounds cliche?
Well, the only way to improve your life is the improve your relationship with yourself.
Value yourself
I have seen 90% of my female friends who do not value themselves. I am sure some of my male friends belong in the same category, but they’re not vocal about it.
People who overvalue themselves are called selfish. And people who undervalue themselves fall on their face when their assumption doesn’t match with the reality.
Honoring yourself for who you are is an underrated trait that can save you from pain and introduce you to growth.
You are strong, more than you think you are. Don’t let anything treat you any lesser than you should be treated.
Stop looking for people who would love you for your imperfections and who would do anything to keep you happy because that very person is you.
Become self-aware
I know that you’re pissed about whatever is happening around you.
We all are going through the same, but what if we look at the situation from another perspective?
What if we spend this time learning about what you like and what makes you unique?
Use this time to explore the details of your personality and learn new things about yourself.
You need to know yourself first; then only you’ll be able to realize what is it that matters to you the most. This time may be something you hadn’t expected all your life, but this is an excellent opportunity to become self-aware and understand yourself better.
Because once you understand who you are, you can use it to your advantage and bring out your best version to serve the world.
And we need it now more than ever!
One Lesson I learned
Hope is everything. If you have hope, you have life and vice versa.
Currently reading
I am reading blogs mainly. And trying to restart The Autobiography of a Yogi.
Video of the week
I watched some amazing videos over the last week, and one video that I have been watched over 50 times flashed on my screen, and I watched it again. It was favorite slam poet Sarah Kay’s If I Should Have a Daughter. It is mindblowing even after a decade.
Quote of the Week
“Any person capable of angering you becomes your master. They can anger you only when you permit yourself to be disturbed by them.”
— Epictetus
Creation of the Week
I wrote about what a crazy time it is to be living in India. I am sure you’d relate.
I shared some self-care tips on LinkedIn. I hope they help you as well.
I hope you found something to ponder and use in your life from this email.
Stay indoors, stay safe. And spread your magic with the world.
